What’s happened this week in the football world -

Let’s Kick it out –The beginning of this week England bagged a 6-0 victory against Bulgaria, with Goals from Rashford, Barkley, Sterling and Kane. Unfortunately, this victory was overshadowed as the game was stopped twice (and almost abandoned) due to racist abuse from Bulgarian fans. The abuse mainly fell on player of the match Tyrone Mings who should have been celebrating his debut. Since then four Bulgarian fans have been arrested, fined and banned from future sports events. The president of the Bulgaria Football Union, Borislav Mihaylov, resigned the day after due to the “recent tensions”, however the BFU failed to make a comment on the racist behaviour.

90,000On a brighter note, England’s women’s team are set to beat a record attendance for their friendly against Germany on the 9th of November.

What’s to come this weekend -

Breaking –Rivals Manchester United and Liverpool FC play this Sunday at Old Trafford. But there has been some ‘breaking’ news for United, both Paul Pogba and De Gea will be out of play for the big game. Goalkeeper David de Gea is a doubt for Manchester United's Premier League game against Liverpool on Sunday after coming off injured on Spain duty. Midfielder Paul Pogba has been ruled out after suffering from a foot injury that has limited him to two appearances since the end of August.
